Meet Buzz. She is a 4  year old black girl who is neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. Buzz has recently moved into one of our foster homes - keep reading to find out how this lovely lady is getting on.

'She has settled very well into home life and she gets on well with our two collies. She is house trained and asks to be let out.

She got on well with our sons two miniature poodles and was fine with the children although they are 8 and 14.

Haven’t tried her out with very small children yet but mixes well at Meet a Greyhound days.

She is brilliant in the car and we have left her for the odd hour to see how she was in the car on her own and so far so good.

She is a very affection dog and loves her cuddles, toys and of course food.

She is doing a little bit of training - she will come when you call her (most of the time!) and is learning to stay and to lay down.

She is great on the lead, no pulling at all, walks at your pace, although she does like to stop for the odd sniff!

Brilliant girl and would make a loving companion to someone who is around most of the time to keep her company.'

Buzz suffers with separation anxiety and cannot be  left on her own for long periods. She gets quite distressed and will jump really high gates etc. to be with you.  She gets quite excited but calms down if you just wait a moment and stand still.

Buzz would suit a house where she is not the only dog and has company all the time.  She needs to be very much part of the family with the free roam of the house. We often find Buzz curled up on a bed!

If you would like to meet Buzz, or any of our dogs with a view to adopting, fostering or sponsoring then please contact us at the contact numbers below..

Buzz has been re-homed twice but on both occasions she was returned. Once due to separation issues and the other as she was too excitable for the family to manage.

Therefore, Buzz needs an experienced owner to take her and in a home where she is not the only dog.  She loves company and gets upset if she feels alone.

Re-homing a Greyhound  ~ How it works

Our Principal activity is to find forever homes for retired racing greyhounds. We have lots of dogs to choose from all with their own personalities and temperaments.

To meet some of our dogs, you are invited to come to any of our events featured on our News & Events Page.  (Not all dogs go to all events.) We normally fundraise at these events and all the donations we receive are spent on Vet Fees and Kenneling charges. All our staff are unpaid volunteers so you can be sure that every penny you donate goes to the dogs, literally!

If you would like to meet any of our dogs with a view to adopting, fostering or sponsoring, or would like to donate or become a member then please contact us as follows:-
