Well I think my ears are cute!

Our dog of the month for June is Jinky

I am a lovely white and brindle ex-racing Greyhound who was 8 years old at the end of January.  I weigh 72lbs (32.7k), am house trained and been neutered, inoculated and microchipped. I am a lovely gentleman who walks nicely on the lead most of the time, travels well in the car and I will make someone a perfect companion as I love affection and being cuddled.

When I first came into Greyhound Rescue at the end of last year my teeth and gums were in a poor state so whilst in kennels they sent me to the vet, who I didn’t like, to have my teeth cleaned and they gave me a course of antibiotics, which made me feel better. About two months ago I left my kennel and went to stay with a fosterer and during that time I went back to the vet again for more antibiotics for my mouth.  As my foster mum was going away a while I came to live with a new foster mum and dad who have three other Greyhounds.  Within a couple of hours of coming to my new foster home I’d eaten all my dinner, had a walk and settled for the evening on the settee with my new foster dad.  My foster mum and dad smile when I put my ears up because they say they look too big but I think they add character!  I’m no trouble at night and quite happy in my bed till my foster mum and dad get up in the morning.  I love living here because there’s a lot going on, lots of beds to choose from, a toy box full of soft toys and bones that I can throw around and chew.  I have really settled into my new foster home where I can run round the garden with the others but I know it’s my foster home so I'm looking for someone to care for me in my forever home.
