HARRY Is
a lovely 8 year old gentleman who has just come into DCGR kennels, on arrival he was found to be slightly underweight and
dehydrated, due to an abscess on one of his teeth, so first port of call was the vets for antibiotics and a dental, due to
this and his age we have decided to delay neutering him until he is fully fit and well. Despite the pain he must have been
in Harry is a lovely gentle boy, who greets everyone with a big waggy tail, he just wants a loving home for his retirement
with a comfy bed to lie on. UPDATE - Poor Harry has had to have 38, yes 38 teeth removed! He has been left
with just his front canines and a few teeth at the back of his mouth, unfortunately as all our foster homes are currently
full up he is having to remain in kennels, though we are hoping that now all the bad teeth have been removed he will soon
start to perk up a bit.

CAL Is
a handsome boy who will be 8 years old in July, he has just come into DCGR kennels where he will be neutered and vaccinated
shortly. Cal is an easy going boy, curious to learn all about the big 'outside' world he is now living in. Cal will
make someone an excellent companion, more information as we get to know him.

JACK Is a lovely 5 year old boy (who
looks older, bless him). Jack is superb on the lead, and we have been told by his fosterer that now he is coming out
of himself he certainly is not a plodder! He has never met small dogs and is not cat friendly. He has now been moved
into a foster home where he is settling in really well with all the other greyhounds. He has now been
neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

DASCH Is
a handsome two and a half year old boy who has just come into DCGR kennels, he has been neutered and vaccinated and is settling
in well. Initially Dasch is a bit nervous with strangers, but once he gets to know you he is very freindly and playful,
he seems to be fine with children and small dogs and will make someone an excellent companion.

MICK Is a handsome blue
and white boy, who was six years old in May, he has just been moved into a foster home where he is settling in well with the
resident greyhounds. Mick is child and small dog friendly, he has a very loving nature and loves to play, it's hard to
believe he is six years old as in some ways he is almost puppyish. Mick has been neutered and vaccinated.

DES Is a big
handsome red/fawn boy who has now been moved into foster care, where he has settled in really well with the two resident greyhounds.
Des is now five years old, is neutered and microchipped, the end of his tail is missing, we presume because he wagged
it too much in kennels - this happens to some dogs when they split the end of the tail and it won't heal. Des is very
excited when he first meets you, but soon settles down, he is inquisitive but very friendly, he has met other breeds of dog,
large and small with no bother and is now housetrained, he no longer steals food and is very well behaved in and out
of the house, he is a very loving boy, who just loves his cuddles and will give someone a lot of fun and laughter watching
his antics.

SOLO Is a super little lady who is full of fun and loves life. She has settled
well into her foster home with the 8 (or is it 9?) other greyhounds! Solo is very affectionate, walks well on the lead and
loves travelling in the car. She is fully innoculated, neutered and microchipped. Solo is not cat friendly
and, unusually for a greyhound, she can jump. Therefore secure fencing is required!

JEFF Is a handsome 4 year old boy who has just been returned to DCGR foster care, through no real fault of
his own. Jeff is housetrained, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped, he is good with children and larger dogs, though
may need a bit more socialising with smaller dogs, though from what we have seen doesn't seem to be unduly bothered by
them. Jeff like most greyhounds can be a bit of an opportunist thief when it comes to food, but is fast to learn what is and
is not allowed.

GABBY Is a
lovely lady who will be 8 years old in October, she came to us from a Vets where she had been taken by her owner to
be put to sleep, along with Milly. Gabby's teeth were is such a bad condition that our first priority was a full dental,
poor Gabby beat Harry's record of 38 teeth removed as she has had ALL but her front canines removed, leaving her with
just four teeth! Gabby is now recovering in kennels and is starting to brighten up a bit as the pain of her rotten teeth has
now gone and her gums are healing. She is a lovely lady who really deserves a loving home with a rug in front of the fire
or a comfy sofa for her retirement years.

MILLY Is a lovely
lady who has just turned 9 years old this month (August), she came to us from a vets where she had been taken by her owner
to be put to sleep along with Gabby. Milly is settling well into DCGR kennels, she has been spayed and had her first vaccination
and even though she is older than Gabby her teeth weren't in quite such a bad condition. Milly really deserves a warm
bed by the fireside for her final years in retirement. If you feel you could give Milly or Gabby, or even both, a loving home
for the remainder of their lives, please contact Al on 01228 674127.
