“Another success for DCGR on Sunday 18^th November, when a great number of our members and their greyhounds attended at the Loreburn Hall in Dumfries for our annual Fun Show. Well over 100 greyhounds (and lurchers and whippets) competed for the various fun classes. Our judge – Denise McGranaghan from GAL – was overwhelmed by the standard of the greys on display and found it EXTREMELY difficult to pick the winners. But of course, there has to be a winner and on this occasion the Champion of Champions was Darcy, a greyhound still looking for a home, and being looked after by Sharon White from Auldgirth near Dumfries. In financial terms, we raised more cash than last year (in excess of £4,300) and a number of potential homes were identified as well as a new foster home. All in all an extremely successful day.” Graham

Update - Sadly Darcy - our Champion of Champions winner died, suddenly and unexpectedly in December while still with his owner/trainer, who was deeply upset. Indeed it was very upsetting news for all of us!
