for updates. May we remind all DCGR members that responsibility and
liability for your dog/s at any event you attend with DCGR, lies with you the owner.
Tip to members - if your dog is not an 'old
hand' at attending events then he/she might be nervous at first and may even try to slip his/her collar. Not all our homed
dogs are used to large crowds and lots of other dogs, so give them the chance to meet and greet slowly, don't force them
and most importantly watch them for signs of stress! If stressed your dog may try to escape and if it's collar is not
tight enough it will! Be vigilant and aware of your dogs needs, as much as we appreciate our members attendance at events
and help with fund raising, your dogs welfare is of prime importance. If you do attend a few events you will find that your
dog, if nervous at first, will soon begin to enjoy the socialising and greeting old 'friends' - as you can witness
when Roma and Magic meet!
