Become A Member Of The DCGR

You don’t need to own a greyhound to be a member of the Dumfriesshire & Cumbria Greyhound Rescue. We welcome anyone who would like to get involved and support greyhounds.

This can be by attending our events, helping with fundraising, or just by promoting the welfare and raising the awareness of ex-racing greyhounds as pets.

If you would like to be a member of our charity, you can subscribe by completing the form below, or you can learn more by coming along to one of our “Meet A Greyhound” events where we chat with the public about how greyhounds make wonderful companions.

There is no annual membership fee, it’s FREE to join the DCGR, but of course we would be grateful for any donation you wish to make and every penny goes towards the care of the greyhounds.

If you adopt a greyhound you will automatically receive membership for that year and then we hope you will choose to renew after that time. We no longer offer a lifetime membership, but existing lifetime members are unchanged.

As a charity member, you will be invited to all our events, be sent our Waggy Tales Newsletter and you can attend the Annual General Meetings to have a say in voting for the committee officers.

I agree that where possible I will assist the Charity in increasing public knowledge of the welfare of retired, abandoned and injured ex-racing greyhounds and if possible, assist the Charity by attending or assisting at Fundraising Events.
