Rhys - not available for re-homing at present

Introducing Rhys. He is a tall, very handsone, bridle coloured boy, who is 2½ years old.  He is extremely affectionate with a really nice temperament, in fact he definitely is a ‘cool dude’ .

Good with children and okay with smaller dogs, but don’t know about cats!  He is very affectionate and loves his cuddles. He will make a fantastic and very loyal family pet.

Rhys is being taken care of by one of our dedicated volunteers who is walking him on his lead 3 to 4 times a day, as per our vet's instructions.

He has been castrated, is vaccinated and micro chipped and travels very well in the car.

Rhys is a special case and as you will see from his notes he is undergoing veterinary care at this time.  He is one of our special Greyhounds that will need some extra TLC at this time but as he is so loving and trusting we will do all we can to improve his quality of life for the future.

Therefore at this time Rhys is not available for rehoming.

Buzz has an old racing injury to his right front leg. From X-rays we believe this was a broken ankle that was not set and has been allowed to "heal" naturally.

As a result he gets extremely lame after a run and it appears to be quite painful.

Just to add to his troubles he has now broken his hind leg so is destined for surgery, This will cost us a considerable amount but as he is just a young dog we feel it worth while. We expect the bill to be over £2,000. You can help us pay for this surgery by donating towards Rhys below.

We are currently investigating what can be done to relieve the pain. He is on constant pain medication and is not allowed to run around.

If you can donate towards Rhys's Vet bills please click below. We expect his treatment to cost over £2500 so any help would be appreciated.

Re-homing a Greyhound  ~ How it works

Our Principal activity is to find forever homes for retired racing greyhounds. We have lots of dogs to choose from all with their own personalities and temperaments.

To meet some of our dogs, you are invited to come to any of our events featured on our News & Events Page.  (Not all dogs go to all events.) We normally fundraise at these events and all the donations we receive are spent on Vet Fees and Kenneling charges. All our staff are unpaid volunteers so you can be sure that every penny you donate goes to the dogs, literally!

If you would like to meet any of our dogs with a view to adopting, fostering or sponsoring, or would like to donate or become a member then please contact us as follows:-
